The best part of my story is Jesus. My life is about Him, but for many years I lived as if He didn’t exist.
It was my mother and grandmother who first told me about God’s love. During those early years, my heart continually responded to Jesus. Then life happened–disallusionment edged Jesus out–well, not really, but so it seemed…
When I reached junior high, I began a journey of rebellion. I would reclaim my relationship with the Lord off and on during those wild years, but it wasn’t until I reached my forties that I settled down to live with Jesus as my Lord. It was a ten-year battle with severe depression that finally gave me the squeeze I needed to move in closer to Him. He is the Source of all my joy and strength!
Those years of rebellion and heartache have given me a platform for proclaiming the Grace of God. I can say, as the Apostle Paul says in Romans 1:16, “I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes…” The reality of this message is what the Lord used to launch Grace Tapestries Inc.
The Lord continues to lead us to model and multiply a ministry of one to one mentoring and encouragement among the members of the body of Christ. It is also our joy to help facilitate prayer movements in frontier and rural communities with a desire to encourage the Church to fervently seek God and to be devoted entirely to the leadership of the Lord Jesus Christ. Whether through small groups or women’s retreats, we proclaim Christ as Lord.

Hi Deb,
I didn’t know you had a blog until a few days ago. Hearing your prayers on the radio was the only contact with you… : ) praying with you too. Then being welcomed into your fellowship and friendship; what a real blessing. I’m so thankful we can discover new ‘family’ members everyday and for meeting you, Deb, my new found sister.
Marching forward in Him,
Lori
O Lori, I am so grateful to the Lord for letting our paths cross. It’s a joy to meet fellow believer who I prayed with over the air, but didn’t know who you were. I just knew you were out there… That was totally a God connection, huh. And now, what a blessing to have you be a part of the Fellowship of the Burning Heart. Yes, onward, precious sister! Glory to our God!
Deb,
I stumbled on to your blog after googling “Focus on Christ.” I’ve just listened to several of you radio broadcasts and want to let you how God’s used your words to renew my hope in Him. I’ve been a believer for 40 + years and have only come to understand “Christ in you” part of the gospel in the last decade. It helped me so much today to remember the gospel. Thanks for letting God use your experience to remind me of his grace! Jane
Hi Jane,
Isn’t our journey in Christ amazing! I too lived the majority of my Christian life unaware of the significance of the Indwelling Christ. There was so much self-effort and striving. And then Galatians 2:20 became real. The Gospel changes everything about our life on earth. I know the Holy Spirit will continue to give you revelation knowledge, especially through His Word. God speed, dear one! Deb
