Prayer is direct communication with God. We don’t need a go-between, we can, as the writer of Hebrews tells us, “…draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace in time of need” Hebrews 4:16. That’s how we approach prayer, full of confidence, and eagerly waiting upon the Lord for His answer.
We invite you to leave a prayer request via the comment feature on this blog. It is our privilege to pray for you. We also honor your privacy so here are a few guidelines to help us do so:
- Unless you state otherwise, we will post your prayer request so others can pray for you.
- We will use your first name unless you want us to use an initial (such as A. or PJ). Please indicate your preference in your comment.
- We will also post your full request unless you state otherwise. We reserve the right to eliminate certain details if we feel this might jeopardize your privacy, or inadvertently cause harm to someone else.
The other thing we ask of you is that you let us know when and how (specifics not necessary) God answers your prayer. We love being able to close the loop with a round of praise to our God and King! Thank you for your trust!
In His service, for His glory,
Deb
Pray GOD Blesses me in every area of my life today.
Father, You know what prompted Phil to request Your blessing in every area of his life, in particular, for today. You are intimately acquainted with all his ways, aware of every need, every desire, and every situation. I thank You for already giving him every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus; by faith may he know this. I thank You for the many ways You will meet him as he waits upon You. I praise You that You wait on high to bless him… O God, I pray You will give Phil great joy in knowing this blessed assurance and promise. So, Father, will You indeed bless him in special ways; in ways that he will know these blessings come from Your hand to his life? Affirm to him in every area of his life the many ways you have already blessed him. I pray this in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for your glory and honor. Amen.
May you abound in His grace today,
Deb
“Therefore the Lord longs (waits) to be gracious to you, and therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; how blessed are all those who wait for Him” Isaiah 30:18.
Deb, I know you are already praying for Holly “Faith Walker” and me, her husband, but I am asking for extra prayer as she is getting physically weaker with each passing day. I need God to give me the strength to assist her with all her needs physicaly, mentally, emotionally, spiritually etc.
I listened to your radio segment about her again this evening for inspiration and it reminded me of another prayer request that I pray regularly. That prayer is to be more like Holly. I have never met anyone in my life that has had as much love for Jesus and everyone around her. I know I should pray to be more like Jesus, and I do that as well, but her walk with the Lord is like no other I have ever seen. She inspires me beyond explanation.
Thank you for being such a great friend to my wife and please feel free to post this prayer request.
Dear Rob, I can only imagine how difficult this journey is for you. And I suppose that’s why the Lord brings you to mind so often. You are courageously walking by faith, as well dear friend.
One of the things that Holly and I have been talking and praying about is having an eternal perspective…looking to the unseen rather than the seen. It’s most challenging because your beloved wive is so deeply dealing with life and death realities. Standing in courage and strength is quite impossible for you, any of us for that matter. We are not capable, but our Lord Jesus Christ is. You cannot dig down deep for human reserves (there are none that are adequate enough), we must dive deep into His Sufficiency, and the Mercy and Strength He supplies.
The most powerful words we can utter to the Lord are, “I can’t, Lord. I don’t have the strength, but You do. I lay down my burden before you and ask you to love and care for my wife through me.” And He will… I know He will, because He lives! He will carry you, Rob. He will not fail you.
I’m standing with you, dearest brother, in the Strength He supplies!
I’ve noticed there have been several visits to the prayer page the past few weeks, but very few of you are leaving prayer requests. Perhaps you are just checking to see how you might pray for others. Thank you.
Here’s my prayer for you… I pray the Lord God reveals Himself to you in glorious ways. I pray He lifts up your countenance and floods you with His great joy. I pray that you will grow in the knowledge of Him in all respects. Mostly, I pray you will surrender to Jesus Christ and discover the reality of His life and love.
In Christ alone,
Deb
Deb, first of all thank you for posting the tribute to Holly. We have all been blessed to listen to it.
Second, I ask for prayer for those of us whom Holly departed from. Her friends and most importantly her family and her awesome husband Rob. It is exciting to know that she is with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and at the same time, death is still a hard thing to go through. Also I ask prayer for all of us to go out and live our lives in the strong faith that Holly taught us about.
Dear jas,
Thank you for leaving such a sweet reminder to pray for Holly’s family. Rob, her parents, and all her siblings walked every step of the way with Holly. It was such a blessing to witness their deep and tender love for her. I kept thinking about the the Lord’s everlasting kindness poured out through His saints.
Father, the God of all comfort, we ask You to carry Holly’s family during this time. In their sorrow Lord, will You bring the sweet fragrance of Your grace and peace.
May we be ever changed by Holly’s faith walk! All for your glory and honor… In Jesus name, amen.
Hi Deb!
Can you please pray for the ministry that I am helping out with at my church? I am helping to organize the worship ministry there and I am so excited to see how God is going to use me in this ministry. My prayer is that the congregation of this church finds a level of deep, deep passionate praise and worship with the Holy Spirit. That they will feel a relationship and connection with Him that is life changing. That every moment of their lives they rejoice in the love of the Lord, not just on Sunday’s, but everyday.
Thank you so much my friend!
In His Grip,
Trish
Lord God, how absolutely thrilling it is to hear that Trish is using her musical talents to minister to the fellowship of the saints in her congregation! You have equipped her for this very moment… It’s You! How I praise You for Your prompting and leading in her.
I know with utmost confidence that You are in their midst as they gather on Sunday morning. Lord, may Your glory be known there and may this precious congregation of saints grow in the knowledge of who You are, and as a result, I pray You will fill their hearts and lungs with praise and worship! May it be all about You, Lord! To the praise of Your glory. We thank You in advance for what You will do. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
Hi Deb,
Thanks for this precious ministry!
I recently have been aware of my need for holiness, I also have been keenly aware of how quick I am to please a person in my speech rather than God. I want to be more Christ-like in the conversations I have.
I also pray for my daughters-ages 18 and 20 and my husband. I am trusting God to ignite a fire in their hearts and pray they would draw closer to Him. There are SO many things that pull us away, I think we need prayer to get our desire focused on where it needs to be.
God bless you,
Laura
Dear sister, Laura, it’s a joy to pray for you…
Father, it’s wonderful to know that any desire for holiness on our part comes from You. And it’s awesome to consider that the only source for it in our lives also comes from You. Amazing that You give us the desire and You work out Your character in us. Wow! Thank You for how You will continue to work in Laura’s life, to draw her closer to Your desires and purposes, and to give her a sweet desire to live in full dependence upon Your indwelling presence. I know You are answering her prayer to be more like You!
And Lord, I also pray that You will light a flame in her husband and daughters. We trust You to bring them to the cross. Will You make the cross real in their lives? Quicken them to the reality of Your presence, Lord, we pray. Would You also convict them of areas in their own lives where their might be compromise or companionship with the world that is weakening their commitment to You? O Lord, may they find their satisfaction in You. We trust You to do what’s best and we trust You with the results… In Jesus name we pray, for Your glory, amen.
I am feeled with fear and guilt and shame, I feel so bad for not trusting in the Lord. I have so much debt I can’t pay, I have no income from my job and I have not been able to find part time work. My fiance is suffering from cancer and now I have asked my elderly mother for help and I feel so ashamed for worrying her and taking from her. I am not filled with confidence, I know by God’s grace I am saved, I am at a loss as to what to do next.
O dear one, I am praying for you…do not fear, God is sovereign and He knows the cry of your heart.
Father, You alone know the burden “el” is carrying. Will You encourage and lift up their heart today? I don’t know, Lord, if this is a man or a woman, but You know. You know everything about el, and therefore we can know that You have promised to sustain your child through this painful time of uncertainty and great need. Your great purposes are so often out of our sight, but in Your perfect timing, they unfold. Will You give el Your assurance, Lord? And will You also remove the guilt and shame associated with being in debt.
Thank You for making intercession for this dear one, Lord Jesus and going straightway to the Father on their behalf. We trust You completely with the outcome, including Your timing. May they rest in You… And Lord, will You put a song in el’s heart today? A song of praise and joy? A word of encouragement for their soul? To lighten the burden. And a part-time job, or other means to met their needs. Thank You for hearing and responding. It is in Jesus Name that I pray, believing for Your great and mighty working power! Amen.
El, so often these days, I find myself on my face in prayer. When you don’t know what to do, pray and wait upon the Lord. Another word that keeps washing over me is Psalm 46:10, “Be still (cease striving) and know that He is God.” Be still and know. Two of the most difficult thing for us humans to do when we are anxious and fearful, and thus the need to go there, even on our face.
I host a radio prayer ministry called Intercession. We’re live on KBXL 94.1 fm at 3:30 (MST) in Boise, Idaho. There is live-stream on our website, http://www.941thevoice.com. We will be praying for you today, over the air–not in detail, but enough for our praying audience to be lifting you up.
Please let me know how you are doing. God bless you, dear friend. ~ Deb
To the dear one who just left a prayer request on my blog, I will be praying for you and will share your request with a few other trusted prayer warriors. I am glad to communicate with you via email and it will remain confidential. Just send me another comment to let me know if you want to correspond.
Father, I lift this dear one up to you and ask that you will undertake for her now. You know her name and what is happening in their life. You even prompted them to reach out. Will You sweep over her with an attitude of repentance, with joy? Will You bring her thoughts into alignment with a true knowledge of who You are? Will You protect her heart and mind and set a hedge of protect around her life? O Lord, I ask you in Jesus name to call her out and draw her near in Your love and grace and mercy. Thank You for Your lovingkindness that is new every morning! You are full of mercy for those in need, Lord. May she come to know with deep assurance her life hidden in Christ. To be so identified with You in Your life. Thank You for answering, Lord. Thank You for blessing this dear one. For Your glory and name sake, I pray.
